HBO, Sony and PlayStation are working on a big project. The series “The Last of Us” can significantly help Canadians who have a handful of production based on the game Naughty Dog.
The work on The Last of Us is ongoing and apparently the development of the series HBO, Sony and PlayStation are very pleased Canadians as the production will help local small businesses get back on track after last year’s events.
Damian Petti, president of IATSE 212 Calgary (an association of theater and film artists and technicians in southern Alberta), in an interview with a journalist CTV News, confirmed that “The Last of Us” was a great project – the series was dubbed a “monster”.
“He has five art directors and employs an army of hundreds of technicians. It took six months of preparation and filming [will continue] (in Alberta) for 12 months. “
An IATSE 212 Calgary representative confirmed an important detail – the work on the set is expected to take 12 months. Interestingly, in his opinion, “The Last of Us” may be the largest film project in Canada:
“I cannot confirm the official budget figures, but I will say that it is possibly the biggest film project in Canada.”
Although Damian Petti did not disclose the budget, he did mention that the amount for one episode “significantly exceeds the eight-figure sum”, so considering the number of episodes – HBO is working on another multi-million production.
The work on “The Last of Us” is linked to “hundreds of companies” that will benefit from HBO production.
