Two new casualties for the Ubisoft Forward presentation: The Division Heartland and The Division 2 expansion, although we may see a new project closely related to The Division and the world of Tom Clancy.
The future of The Division is very exciting, as Ubisoft announced a month ago: it announced a new free to play game, The Division Heartland ; a new expansion for The Division 2 ; and a mobile game, as well as film and literature projects. However, none of this will be in the Ubisoft Forward presentation of E3 2021.
The official Twitter account of the game has confirmed it, encouraging us, yes, to connect to see the rest of the projects of the French company. What it does do is reconfirm that the new expansion for The Division 2 is due out in late 2021 , so its announcement shouldn’t take much longer.
The Division games join the Prince of Persia Sands of Time remake as confirmed casualties for this Saturday’s broadcast. Ubisoft Forward, which begins at 9:00 p.m. on June 12, will star Rainbow Six Extraction and Far Cry 6, although Ubisoft has promised other surprises.
Despite The Division’s absence, Tom Clancy’s branding could appear in another game, aside from Rainbow Six. And it is that a couple of days ago, what seems to be a new multiplayer game that shares elements of all the sagas that have been signed by the late writer was leaked : Ghost Recon, The Division and Splinter Cell . Its codename is BattleCat, and it would make sense for it to be one of the surprises at E3.
Remember all the dates for the E3 events , starting tomorrow … with the “rival”, Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest Kickoff Live event. Remember that in 2021 Ubisoft distributed its announcements in two editions of Ubisoft Forward, one in July and one in September, so we may have another Ubi event in late summer.
