Journalist Geoff Keighley has published a fairly cryptic tweet that suggests the presence of Elder Ring at the Summer Games Fest, at least according to the interpretation given by the most avid fans of the Japanese software house and its most convinced followers.
Keighley’s tweet contains only a meme , the classic animated GIF with writing, in which you can see a little panda trying to escape from a cage. In the lower part of the animation you can read “I will break free!” (trad. I will be free).
The reference is hard enough to decipher if you don’t know Keighley’s background. During the latest The Game Awards , dating back to December 2020, he showed nothing of FromSoftware’s game despite having mentioned it on stage and was therefore placed in an ideal prison by disappointed gamers. The meme therefore refers to his release, due to the probable presence of Elden Ring at the Summer Game Fest.
The presence of Elden Ring at the Summer Games Fest was also suggested by the inevitable Jeff Grubb, who also responded to Keighely’s tweet giving him an ideal wink of understanding. What to say? Let’s hope it’s really there, so we can finally see the game in action.
