Patrick Wilson and Jason Momoa discuss the sequel to the DC superhero directed by James Wan and distributed by Warner Bros. that begins filming in the summer.
Aquaman 2 will presumably arrive in December next year and will again have James Wan directing and Jason Momoa as the protagonist, along with Amber Heard (who will return to be Princess Xebelliana Mera ), Patrick Wilson (again playing Orm ) and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II ( Black Manta ).
Patrick Wilson has given a small preview of what we can expect from the sequel to this DC aquatic superhero that will start shooting in the summer and about which we still do not have much information: ” I think that, as with anything from James [ Wan], when he comes back for a sequel, it gets bigger and better, and broader, and more fun, with more action, with more character work, it’s great. It’s really fun, it’s super fun. ”
The actor, who just released The Warren File: Forced by the Demon , produced by Wan, has had a tough training process for Aquaman: ” I’ve been training for about eight weeks, and in a couple of months we start, well, they start in about a month and a half . “
On the other hand, Jason Momoa explains the process of creating the script of the film, whose treatment he co-wrote with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick : ” After finishing the first [film], I went with my writing partner and we dreamed of the second, and we went and we presented the idea […] The best I can tell you is that I liked it so much that I participated in its writing. So, we did the first treatment and then James [Wan] and our original writer David finished it . “
” Our hearts are set on him, ” added Momoa. ” Instead of just getting a script and doing it, you have full support from your director and your co-writers. That’s exciting for me and I’m excited to do it. I’m leaving in July and we begin filming .”
