We still know very little about Gran Turismo 7, a new numbered chapter in the historic racing series developed by Polyphony Digital exclusively for PlayStation consoles. The title was originally slated to launch in the first half of 2021, but Sony later decided to postpone the title to 2022.
Visiting the official page of the game , the Twisted Voxel colleagues have obtained a small, albeit largely predictable information related to Gran Turismo 7. The new evolution of the “Real Driving Simulator”, as it has always been defined by Polyphony Digital, will necessarily require a subscription to the PlayStation Plus in order to access the main online features . In the absence of a subscription it will therefore not be possible to take part in the competitions in multiplayer mode, but we do not know exactly what other content may be closed to users.
In case you decide not to subscribe to the PlayStation Plus anyway, there is no need to despair: Kazunori Yamauchi has reassured the fanbase by declaring that Gran Turismo 7, after the competitive parenthesis of Gran Turismo Sport, will return to the roots of the series on PS5 and will propose again a full-bodied and engaging campaign to be experienced entirely in single player.
Yamauchi recently discussed his future prospects in the gaming industry: the author wants to create a game that is “more real than reality itself”.
