Activision seems to be gearing up to celebrate 25 years of their pet in a big way
This year many video game franchises are celebrating their 25th anniversary, including Resident Evil and Pokémon . Another series that is celebrating is Crash Bandicoot and fans believe that Activision and Nintendo will celebrate with the arrival of the character to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate .
Activision revived Crash Bandicoot in time for his 25th birthday and the good thing is that today the series is healthier than ever, after reappearing on the radar thanks to a remake of the original trilogy and 1 car racing game, 1 sequel to the original series and up to 1 title for mobile phones.
It is clear that Crash Bandicoot is an icon in the world of video games and we know that there have been rumors of the arrival of the marsupial to Super Smash Bros. for a long time, but a new track has ignited the excitement of the fans.
IS SUPER SMASH BROS. IN CRASH’S PLANS?
Activision has already started with the preparations for the 25th anniversary of its mascot and on the official Twitter account of the franchise it shared an image in which Crash is seen with a list of things to do before his celebration.
It is possible to see that the character has managed to make several, but still has some pending, such as traveling to Europe, learning quantum physics and making a recipe for a new dish.
What is striking is that the list is folded and a couple of things on the list are not visible. This has been enough for fans to speculate on the arrival of Crash in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate , something that many have asked for years.
Crash, because of his long history, would be a fair candidate to add to the roster of fighters. In addition, it would be a great moment, as it would coincide with the 25th anniversary of Crash Bandicoot , which will be celebrated on September 9, 1996, when the first title of the series debuted for PlayStation.
We remind you that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate still has 2 places available for DLC characters, which would arrive as part of the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 and that can also be purchased individually. Nintendo usually announces new characters at an important event or broadcast. The E3 2021 is just around the corner and the Japanese company will participate in it , so do not doubt that there reveal the new fighter.
