It’s always worth trying the legendary code to see what happens
Today, many have been amazed by the technology of Unreal Engine 5 , as Epic Games has shown just a small part of what its new monster can do, which will be in charge of making the most extraordinary adventures come true in many video games. However, it is always good to keep your roots and have that connection to the past and the graphics engine hides a nod to the legendary Konami Code.
THE KONAMI CODE LIVES IN UNREAL ENGINE 5
During the recent presentation of Unreal Engine 5, various developers showed what can be done with this powerful new version of the Epic Games graphics engine. However, one of them wanted to find some connection with the past and had the idea of putting the Konami code in the demo that presents a robot. The result? Upon entering this code, this character performs the Dab Dance, a gesture that is already celebrated by the developers as it is a way of honoring a detail that has accompanied videogames for 3 decades.
WHAT IS THE KONAMI CODE?
This is the button combination (↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → BA) created by developer Kazuhisa Hashimoto, who considered that the homemade version of Gradius , launched on the Famicom in 1986, was very difficult and decided to put that code to make it life easier for players. The detail here is that Hashimoto never revealed to Konami that he had included the code in that version of the game. From that moment on, the Konami Code became legendary and the company’s games responded to it in some way until it became a symbol of gaming.
