Nintendo Switch Pro is currently one of the big rumors we have in the video game industry, although the reality is that its announcement seems an inevitable one at this point. That is why it is not surprising that rumors of all kinds begin to emerge around the hybrid console, and the last of these talks about the possibility that Nintendo is considering launching a next main installment of the Pokémon franchise as exclusive to the aforementioned system.
It was the user CentroPokémon who, with a sequence of tweets that begins with the following comparison, has ended up turning on the alarms of more than one user:
Although the image is a bit confusing when introducing the expansions of Pokémon Sword and Shield, in reviewing the line of Pokémon releases we see that, when the arrival of Pokémon Legends: Arceus occurs, only Nintendo DS will have had more deliveries of Pokémon that Nintendo Switch will enjoy. This, as we know, is something that will happen as early as January 2022.
At the moment there is no indication whatsoever that makes one really think that the subsequent delivery of Pokémon to Pokémon Legends: Arceus is going to be one that lands only on Nintendo Switch Pro, since Nintendo has mentioned on multiple occasions that the platform is approximately at half of its life cycle. However, it also becomes obvious that the release rate of deliveries is quite similar to what other consoles have experienced in their ‘beginning and end’.
The insider information comes from notable leaker NateDrake on ResetEra. The user reveals that the Nintendo Switch Pro will in-fact, have exclusive games – although not all titles will be restricted.
“There will be some select exclusives, especially from third-party partners. May not be a big number of them, but I know of at least one.”
Statistically, the data is standing in terms of speculating with a potential exclusive delivery of Pokémon for Nintendo Switch Pro. However, when it comes to what is supposed to be a mere revision of the standard system, it is just as true that the possibilities are reduced. In any case, for the moment we will have to wait until, to begin, the existence of the platform is confirmed, something that aims to occur before E3 2021 .
