Only 16 drivers from 16 different countries have qualified for the Olympic Virtual Series.
If you are fans of esports, simracing and of motorsport, it is a moment for be very happy. A few days ago we told you that Gran Turismo Sport had started the first qualifying phase for the Olympic Virtual Series, the virtual Olympics organized by the International Olympic Committee (COI). As well, Spain will have representation in the event.
The virtual pilot Jose Serrano, of the Project One Motorsport team, is one of the best players of Gran Turismo Sport de España today. Serrano has achieved qualify for the Olympic Virtual Series and will represent Spain in the final. The achievement is very important in itself, but is more relevant because of its difficulty: I could only go A spanish and, furthermore, they were only classified 7 countries in Europe.
Serrano has stayed sixth overall and third in Europe. The 16 countries that will be represented in the first Olympic Virtual Series Motor Sport Event They are: Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Greece, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Canada, United States, Chile, Brazil and Australia. Italy scored the absolute best time in this first phase of the event. The creator of Gran Turismo, Kazunori yamauchi (who said he will continue to work on the saga in the future), has shared the final classification. The grand final will take place at the end of June, but some aspects of the event have yet to be finalized. Fans are looking forward to Gran Turismo 7, which won’t hit PS5 until 2022.
