The Dragon Quest 35th anniversary event will be held this week, featuring Yuji Horii and his games.
Good morning to Dragon Quest fans. This week will be held the 35th anniversary of the saga from Square Enix with a digital event in the early hours of Wednesday to Thursday, which will feature its creator Yuji Horii, and will be broadcast on a global scale with English subtitles. An event that they have already promised will have quite a few news of the saga, although they may be more important than we expect. And it is that Horii himself anticipates that will feature the presence of “that game” that we’re all waiting for. You mean Dragon Quest XII?
Through his Twitter account, the legendary creator begins to warm up the engines for the 35th anniversary of Dragon Quest with these words: “On the broadcast, we are going to announce a lot of things to show our appreciation [con los fans]. And of course, let’s talk about that game … Hope you enjoy it! “While Horii does not specify which game he is referring to further, we have little doubt that all DQ fans will have the same three words crossed their minds.
Dragon Quest XII, the next main installment of the saga. In this, we remember that Square Enix confirmed in 2019 that they are working on the next Dragon Quest, and at the end of 2020, Yuji Horii already promised to offer all kinds of announcements for the anniversary of the saga. Beyond this long-awaited delivery, other names that could make an appearance at the event is that of Infinity Strash – Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, the Action RPG of the saga that will debut this year in Japan.
With Yuji Horii heating up expectations, we’ll see in a few days what the future of Dragon Quest holds. For those who want to follow the event live, the broadcast for the 35th anniversary of the saga will begin Thursday, May 27 at 5:30 a.m. in the Spanish peninsular time, which is equivalent to Wednesday, May 26 at 10:30 p.m. in Mexico City. You can check here the date and time of the event by country. Until then, and to keep you in the mood, here is the analysis of Dragon Quest XI: Definitive Edition.
