It’s here. Marvel has finally released the impressive trailer for ‘Eternals’, the long-awaited superhero movie that also represents the new job behind the cameras of Chloé zhao shortly after becoming the second female Oscar winner for Best Director for ‘Nomadland’.
A new threat on Earth
‘Eternals’ will tell the story of an immortal race that has lived on Earth for more than seven thousand years. Everything changes when they have to come together to protect humanity from the Deviants, its evil equivalent with a monstrous presence.
The extensive cast of ‘Eternals’ is headed by Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Salma Hayek, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, Gemma Chan, Barry Keoghan, and Kit Harington. There is plenty of talent there for Zhao to have been able to do something great with a movie that promises to be different from what Marvel has used to us.
Based on the characters created by Jack kirby, ‘Eternals’ features a script written by Kaz and Ryan Firpo, a duo of cousins who get their first big break in Hollywood here after having previously written and directed a handful of short films.
‘Eternals’ will premiere next November 5th, right after ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ and just a few weeks before the release of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.
