As long as we take a minimum of interest in new technologies, we have certainly heard of the Fold range of Samsung. Launched two years ago now, it is one of the few on the market to offer high-end foldable smartphones, the quality of which has drastically improved since last year, especially with the Galaxy Z Fold 2. So inevitably, the South Korean firm does not stop there: it is preparing to launch this year a third model in this range, the Z Fold 3. A model that we have already heard about for a few weeks already: we know that it should offer a photo sensor housed under the screen for the first time for a Samsung smartphone … but also that it should come out at the same time. time than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the S21 FE.
Here is what we discover more about this new foldable model: according to LetsGoDigital, Samsung would have filed a special patent for its Z Fold 3. This patent indicates that its next high-end foldable smartphone could well come without a physical button! A first for a Samsung model. Called “Galaxy Z Fold Squeeze Gesture”, a new mechanism would replace the classic buttons: rather than pressing a button, we would just have to press the side of the smartphone to obtain a similar result. A direct response to the fact that some Z Fold 2 users may have noticed that pressing the buttons on the edge of the previous foldable model could be awkward.. It remains to be seen whether this technique will be more practical for everyone. In any case, we should discover more officially this summer!
