I read this Guardian [article](https://www.theguardian.com/music/2021/may/20/whats-going-on-at-50-marvin-gaye-masterpiece-is-still-so-true-to-life) on Marvin Gaye’s legendary album What’s Going On turning 50 and it’s continuing relevance today. It’s one of the rare albums, rather works of art, that stands the test of time. Not just that but the songs on the album are still resonant and have things to say about society and human conditions and problems. Some commentors on the article compare it to the great works of art ever made.
This got me thinking, what are some films, if any, that are not just great works of art but are timeless and have relevance across decades or generations. Films which have themes and messages that have something significant to say.
