First of all, beware of slight spoilers on episode 14 of season 6 of Fear The Walking Dead, which will be broadcast in a few days on AMC. The promo video of the episode as well as the clips already available allowed fans to speculate again on a subject that is more and more talked about: the possible return of Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) in the series. For some time, the clues seem to multiply – like this teasing of the official Twitter account of the series – and episode 14 should continue on this road. To begin with, the title of the episode is “Mother”, or “mother”, and can therefore refer to Madison.
We know thanks to the promos that it will mainly be question of Teddy’s mother in the episode, but one does not prevent the other. Moreover, we now know that Cole, a character present in season 4, will make his comeback in season 6 of Fear The Walking Dead. Alicia will express her surprise when she sees him, and not just because she never thought she would see him again. Indeed if Cole survived, it means that there is a good chance that Madison also survived. As a reminder, the last I heard Cole perished in the attack on the baseball stadium in which the community of Madison and others was established.
It was then in the fire caused by Madison to allow Alicia, Nick and the others to escape from the zombies that Madison would have died. Only we never saw her die on the screen and, since, the doubts persist among the fans. Add to that the fact that the clues referring to Madison or a possible return have multiplied for some time, and we begin to be convinced that Madison will return. But it also means that, if the showrunners are driving us around with false leads, disappointment and anger will clearly be present. Indeed, why disseminate clues, even via the official media of the series, to deceive the fans? Even if we doubt seeing Madison again in season 6 – or in this case in the last minutes of the final season – we clearly hope that Kim Dickens will be present in season 7.
