The week of the upfronts has started and almost everything is already sold for the gallery. The American chain CBS has confirmed the final destination of some of the series that were pending. This is the case of the comedies ‘B Positive’ and ‘United States of Al’, which have been renewed for two second seasons.
On the side of casualties we find the romantic comedy ‘The Unicorn’ and the court drama ‘All Rise’, which have been canceled after their respective seasons 2. These are not the only departures from the network as it is also negotiating for the new seasons of ‘SEAL Team’ and ‘Clarice’ to move to Paramount +.
The cancellation of ‘All Rise’ was quite sung after Warner Bros. fired its creator and coshowrunner with lightning bolts, Greg Spottiswood for inappropriate behavior on set. The fiction starring Simone Missick was already suffering a drop in audience and finally has not survived.
On the other hand, the renewals of ‘B Positive’ and ‘United States of Al’ increase the chain’s confidence in Chuck Lorre productions, which dominates the sitcom menu. These join the bulk of procedural dramas that was renewed last April.
