What a surprise he just gave us Netflix when announcing the cancellation of ‘Los irregulares’ after the premiere of a single season. This reinvention of the universe Sherlock Holmes It was a long time on the list of the most viewed on the platform, but it seems that that has not been enough to want to continue with it.
The Netflix series offered another vision of the mythical detective created by Arthur Conan Doyle by claiming that their cases were actually being solved by a group of orphans living on the streets of London. In fact, even John Watson (Royce pierreson) is more important than Holmes himself (Henry Lloyd-Hughes) in the plot.
Personally, I can’t say that I especially enjoyed his first season, since it is another case of series with a curious approach that then never ends up knowing how to take advantage of it. It is true that the chemistry between its young protagonists existed – hence I got to see it in its entirety instead of abandoning it along the way – but beyond that it could even be a bit uphill to finish any of its eight episodes.
At the moment it is unknown if there is any possibility that ‘The irregular’ get a second life elsewhere, but it seems unlikely considering the lone conditions that Netflix usually imposes in these cases. Will you miss ‘Los Irregulares’ or is it a loss that doesn’t affect you in the least?
