Oppo has just announced its intention, like several of its tech rivals, to enter the car manufacturing sector.
It is an area that will quickly become crowded. The automotive world has in fact recently been the target of several tech giants, who have apparently felt a good lode in the future on the side of four-wheeled vehicles. We thus saw a few months ago Apple explain to the world that it was going to produce its own autonomous vehicle, while behind, several Chinese competitors like Huawei, or especially Xiaomi, announced to follow in the footsteps of the Cupertino company. A list that is growing today with the arrival of a new challenger in the middle of the ring, namely Oppo!
Indeed, the Chinese manufacturer will also embark on the automotive adventure according to the Xiuxiushai media. This latest report that the boss ofOppo, Tony Chen allegedly claimed that “Even in the production of cars, we will focus on areas where Oppo can perform well. If the manufacturer cannot produce good cars and Oppo has the capacity, we will try in the future.” A statement which shows that Oppo is not yet fully fixed on its future activities in the sector, and that the firm could as much produce its own automobile as provide services around it, as expected by Huawei.
