Bungie will introduce this long-awaited functionality with the upcoming season 14 of its shooter.
Destiny 2 is preparing to receive a few significant changes during the final stretch of 2021, although not all of them will come at once. We know that the crossover game will come sooner or later, but not in the imminent season 14, whose name has not yet been revealed at the official level. Instead, this new period will welcome the long-awaited transfiguration system (better known as transmog) that we here call “armor synthesis”.
Ada-1 will manage the obtaining of transmogrification materials In the last entry of its weekly blog, the Californian study has featured all the details of this system. And while it is a breath of fresh air for those who love to create characters that feel good visually and mechanically, the truth is that the process of changing the appearance of one piece for another is relatively complex and has some restrictions.
For example, it will only be possible to get 10 consumables to transfigure an armor per character and per season (saving T14, which exceptionally will allow us to accumulate 20 per class). As previously mentioned, it is possible to also buy these consumables through Eververse, the in-game store, but these will be universal to avoid wrong purchases.
In any case, to get this material called “synthweave” (something like “synthetic thread” in Spanish) it will be necessary to defeat enemies of any kind to accumulate a basic currency with which to buy specific contracts from Ada-1. Once completed, it will be necessary to return to it to redeem the thread and use it in the manufacture of ornamental pieces. The shadersthey will become one-time unlocks, which should greatly simplify things for many fans. We recommend you read the full entry to have all the details about it.
While the armor synthesis arrives, it’s time to enjoy the Guardian Games. Q13 is expected to end with the weekly reset on May 11.
