Watched this as a young boy in the mid-70s. I was totally captivated by the planes in the movie. I come from a place where our town was completely bombed to the ground during WWII. My father’s colleague was killed by a bomb. So many of the older generation still had bitter memories with regards to the war. But as a young dreamy boy, I felt I had to hide my desire to see Zeros flying over our town! To the young boy in the old movie theater, this was planes, bombs and flying; this movie definitely shaped my life’s dreams to this day. This video has a great analysis of the historical accuracy presented to the audience. IMO it would’ve been better if he had left out comparisons to another movie, but hey it’s his video. I need to get myself a DVD player and relive those dreamy carefree days!
