There will also be a free update with additional content on all platforms.
Nearly a year after the release of the great Streets of Rage 4, the team at Lizardcube has presented on video the first great Paid DLC you will receive this action game beat’em up, which will also be accompanied by a free update with additional content for all platforms.
Three fighters join Streets of Rage 4: Estel Aguirre is the first to appearBaptized with the name of Mr. X Nightmare, this bonus content pack will include three new playable characters, with additional moves for the familiar ones, as well as a challenging new Survival mode. “Play as Officer Estel Aguirre, one of the three fighters present in Mr. X Nightmares, who abandons his duty to join the heroes of Streets of Rage 4 for the first time,” reads the official DLC description.
If this character sounds familiar to you, it is normal. Estel appeared in the video game as a powerful rival in the style of the battles against the final bosses. “Land powerful punches and spinning kicks at anyone foolish enough to cross his path.” As you can see in the trailer, this DLC also introduces new themes for the soundtrack by Tee Lopes, who already put music to games like Sonic Mania or League of Legends.
As for survival mode, for now not many details are known, but warn that it will be a challenge for players. Among other novelties, the possibility of customizing the movements of the fighters is introduced, in addition to that now we will have more weapons at our fingertips. If we talk about the free update, this “will be a brutal challenge for players” because it adds the difficulty New Mania +. Players will be able to tap into a new training system to polish their technique, and color palette options will also be added free of charge to customize the aesthetics of Wood Oak City wrestlers. When will we have access to this new content? At the moment there is no specific date beyond 2021
The presentation of this first DLC is accompanied by good news for the Lizardcube team, which to date has managed to sell 2.5 million games on all platforms. It should be remembered that Streets of Rage 4 has also been available on services such as Xbox Game Pass, allowing more players to enjoy its exciting beat’em up action.
