Counterplay Games will work on this improvement in parallel to the new expansion, with no release date.
When it went on sale late last year, Godfall had a rather modest reception from the press and gamers. And in fact, it hasn’t done much to improve yet: since its launch, it has received patches with bug fixes as well as a major content update called Primal Update. But there is one more on the way, and this one brings with it a much-requested upgrade.
It is, as the owner says, the system of online pairing. One of the big problems that the game went through in its first weeks was the need to send invitations other players to join the game, so even today most of the activity comes from Discord’s LFG servers. But soon it will be possible to play with other strangers by joining a game.
Until now, most games were organized through LFG systems It is a matter that has been on the lips of its players for months, but it is already official. When? That is not so clear. “While we were monitoring and implementing changes based on your impressions, one thing was clear” commented those responsible on Twitter. “We are excited to announce that we are working on implementing a matchmaking system in Godfall! We will share more details over the next few months as we work on the expansion“.
The expansion in question is DLC content announced long before the game hit stores, and it should include new biomes, enemies, gear, and bosses. However, the exact details are yet to be specified. Until then, if you’re thinking of giving the game a try, you might want to read our Godfall review.
