Thomas Happ, creator of the game, details more aspects about the game, its plot and gameplay in a new presentation.
Axiom Verge 2 is one of the most anticipated indie titles of the year. Although we are still waiting to know its release date, today it was revealed that it will not take long to arrive. And all thanks to a new video in which its own creator, Thomas Happ, revealed new details about its anticipated action-adventure title in style Metroidvania.
Inside a new video presented in the framework of the transmission Future Games Show: Spring Showcase, the developer talked a bit more about the project that has been Axiom Verge and the way this second installment fits into his universe. As such, Happ clarifies that the game not a direct sequel of the first title, but a game that takes place in the same world and takes us to know completely different places. However, many of its events will take place before the events of the first game, but its history will not depend directly on it, so it will be possible to play any of them in the order we want.
Thomas Happ He also shared details about the game’s plot, although he only addressed central points so as not to delve into spoilers. Explain that in the game we will take control of Indra, an eccentric billionaire who controls the Worldwide Globe 3 Conglomerate and that he will venture on a trip to Antarctica where, it is said, lies a completely alternate world to ours and where it is possible to see ecosystems ranging from snow-capped mountains, lakes and deserts, to the ruins of an ancient civilization.
Like its predecessor, Axiom Verge 2 It will feature a similar game scheme in which we make use of various weapons, face enemies of various sizes and discover hidden areas with their own secrets. However, we will know all these contents once the game reaches our hands.
Finally and not least, the video closed showing us more gameplay of the game that allows us to see how it will be, as well as confirming its launch window. Will be during the spring of this year (that is, between the months of March and June) when we will see Axiom Verge 2 arrive both on the PC through the Epic Games Store like Nintendo Switch.
