Capcom presents on video new details of its upcoming installments, including amiibo and more.
As announced last week, Capcom has shared a new informative video on Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, the next two installments in their much-loved action-hunting RPG series. The first of them, as we already knew, will hit stores on the day March 26th (along with the premiere of the Monster Hunter movie in Spain) and therefore has several new mechanics in the spotlight. The second continues to leave us visual material, but also now has a release date.
Respectively, the Japanese team has shown new Monster Hunter Rise gameplay where we can see how the game works stampede system which serves as a background for the game’s story: broadly speaking, it works like a tower defense game where we can win by killing hordes of monsters or simply by hunting the boss who leads them. Like encounters with great elder dragons of the past, but with more possibilities. Apart from this, some monsters that had not been confirmed until now appear in the video, such as the veterans Zinogre and Nargacuga, and what clearly seems to be the Amatsumagatsuchi (Amatsu in the West).
Stampedes will have a dynamic similar to that of traditional tower defense In addition, Ryozo Tsujimoto and his talents prepare a series of free updates that will implement new monsters, following the line of what was seen in Monster Hunter World, the first of which will be Chameleos– A veteran of the second generation of creatures who combines poison with invisibility to make us suffer. Apart from this, the game demo will also receive a patch that will allow us to kill Magnamalo, the flagship monster of this installment, in a movement that has also been seen in the past. It will arrive in April, but new features and additional monsters will arrive later that will be revealed in the future.
As for MH Stories 2, as we said, we have a release date! It will be available in stores next July 9th next to a digital Deluxe edition, and although it may not seem so at first glance, it has all the meat on the grill: you will have cooperative missions as a great novelty, and it will also have such interesting guests as Nergigante or a legendary Rathalos of the most particular: it has black wings and the rest of the hunters consider it extremely dangerous.
Apart from this, three new amiibo will also arrive in stores to complement the NFC functionalities of the Nintendo hybrid console: Ena, Tsukino and Razewing Ratha. As a reminder, throughout the week we will have new gameplays from some community representatives, as well as question and answer sessions with developers.
