We also recently learned that Nier Automata has sold more than 5.5 million games.
NieR Re[in]carnation, the video game for Android and iOS mobiles based on the saga created by the charismatic Yoko Taro, it has surpassed the 10 million downloads. Applibot, the developer studio of this game produced by Square Enix, has confirmed the news with an image to celebrate.
The game officially launched in Japan on February 18 and in just a few weeks it has exceeded the magic figure of the 10 million games downloaded; On February 23, just five days after its premiere, it had already surpassed 5 million. Among Square Enix’s plans is to bring the game to the West, although at the moment there is no specific release date.
It premiered on February 18 and will soon arrive in the WestThis spin-off of the series is a JRPG with turn-based combat, which has gacha elements for faster progress and, like all good Nier, with an important narrative weight. In fact, the own Yoko taro is the director of the game, so we can expect a similar approach to that of Nier Automata. The adventure has three main characters with their own concerns and mysteries that will gradually unravel. The description of the game says the following:
“A girl wakes up on a cold stone floor. A vast space filled with rows of towering structures. Guided by a mysterious creature who calls herself ‘Mama’, the girl begins to walk on the stone pavement. To reclaim what he has lost, and to atone for his sins within a ‘Cage’ built in an incomprehensible way by someone who knows how to do it. “
The one that we do know when it will arrive is Nier Replicant, a reimagined version of the first Nier, which will come with adapted gameplay and new options. It will be available on April 23 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Until the moment of its premiere, you can take a look at its initial cinematic.
