Outriders have tons of loading screens when opening doors or jumping bridges. Its creators explain why

Recently the possibility of downloading a demo of Outriders players have been playing to see what the next People Can Fly will look like. However, they have found a somewhat striking detail and that is that the title has countless loading screens in the strangest moments.

For example, these happen when open a door, go up a ledge or also to the jump over a bridge. They are actions that in any other video game will seem very normal, but here they come preceded by their own sequence along with loading screens. You can see it much better in the following video.

As you can see, the scene shows you a little jump of nothing as if it were the most epic what you have done so far. However, everything has its why and Bartek Kmita, Creative Director of Outriders, spoke to Eurogamer for explain the reason why all this happens so often beyond to load a new zone.

As recognized by the company, beta players who played with other people they complained when a colleague moved to a different area and the rest of the team just appeared there without being fully aware of what was happening. For that reason, it was thought to introduce a short video between different areas so that so the whole team was clear where they were going.

Kmita is aware that it may not be the best solution, but the game cannot allow each person to move between areas on their own because there are no dedicated serversBecause to do something like that you would have to divide people into separate games. However, this also happens when playing solo, but the director assures that the stage load is very intense and these scenes are necessary to prepare everything.

The launch of Outriders is set for the April 1st on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Stadia and PC through Steam, version on which you can check here its minimum and recommended requirements. We will see if by then these situations are kept in the final version or are modified by another more practical method.
