Caid is expected on March 10 on Netflix and this French project announces very heavy! Netflix just unveiled the first images of Caid, and we can already announce that this series will be talked about upon its release. Produced on the principle of “found footage”, consisting in revealing the project as a series of found recordings, this show tells the story of Tony, a young rapper and city dealer who is looking to break into rap.

To achieve a realistic clip that is faithful to his daily life, his label sent him a producer and his cameraman, two lambdas freelancers uninformed about Tony’s way of life. Very quickly, they are bathed in the tense universe of the young rapper and dealer, and find themselves in the heart of insults with heavily armed rival gangs.. The two directors then wonder if they would do better to return home and leave this hostile ground or if they should take the risk of dying to shoot a crazy clip, immortalizing the reality of a dealer who has not cold in the eyes. In addition to its immersive realization – which sits between the video game and the hidden camera – the format of Caid is also original. The episodes are very short: they do not exceed 15 minutes, enough to be totally embedded in the daily life of the directors and Tony. Caïd is an action packed and divinely well done series, and it will be available from March 10 on the platform.
