The ‘Ray Donovan’ movie rwill pick up the story where it left off at the end of season seven to tell us how Ray will do everything in his power to find and stop Mickey before he causes even more damage.
Liev Schreiber will return as Ray Donovan, the returns of Jon Voight and Kerris Dorsey giving life to the father and daughter of the great protagonist of the function. Filming will start this year in New York City on a date yet to be specified.
Schreiber himself will be in charge of writing the film together with David hollander, showrunner of the series who will also be in charge of the staging of this feature film for television.
Gary Levine, a Showtime executive, commented on the following as the return of ‘Ray Donovan’ was made official:
When ‘Ray Donovan’ went off the air after seven great storms, we heard that many of his loyal fans weren’t prepared to say goodbye to Ray and the wonderfully dysfunctional Donovan clan. So for them, we’re delighted that Liev and Davis are creating an exciting new episode of this iconic series.
