The planet on which the adventure takes place will be a character itself and will change after each death of the protagonist-
It will be one of the exclusive PS5 games for the next few months. Returnal is an IP that makes its debut on Sony’s next-generation console and, at least, awaits a very interesting proposal. Now, Housemarque, responsible for the game, has published a new trailer that allows us to know more details about this roguelike-style adventure.
Specifically, the video you see on these lines focuses on getting to know Atropos in more detail, the planet on which Selene, the protagonist of the game, lands, and which has the particularity of offering changing environments; after each death, the scenarios change procedurally, and you will have to try to survive the dangers with what you have learned previously. On her way, the heroine of the adventure will discover secrets of an ancient civilization that inhabited the place, which will lead her to face unknown alien beings that are part of a hive mind.
Returnal will arrive exclusively for PS5 on April 30The title combines various genres and concepts, with what is intended to be a show of originality. Its main focus, as we say, is that of roguelike. Selene must obtain resources and memorizing everything that can hinder her mission. The protagonist will have 10 base weapons with 10 different types of shots each. Thanks to a device called Cthonos, after death the activity will be recorded, which will allow us to add experience as we perform certain actions, which will help us to go further. Here, death is just a new beginning.
After a slight delay in initial plans, Returnal will be available on PS5 starting next April 30th. Those in charge wanted to have extra time to polish the experience and, in recent weeks, we have even seen a trailer about the story dubbed into Spanish.
Remember that this same week, on Thursday, February 25 at 11:00 p.m. (peninsular time) a new State of Play will take place, in which we will know the next what’s new for PS5 and PS4. It will be a 30-minute event and 10 games and new announcements have been promised, so the community is already speculating on what the PlayStation event will be.
