The game developed by the Spaniards from Studio Koba will be available at the end of March on various platforms.
Narita Boy’s eighties action already has a release date. After a long development and some other delay, Studio Koba and Team17, have confirmed that the game will be available from next March 30 on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. In addition, it will also work on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S thanks to the backward compatibility of both systems. And, in the case of Microsoft and PC consoles, it will be for download on Xbox Game Pass from day one.
The game was born, like many other indie video games in recent years, thanks to crowdfunding through Kickstarter. The study required 120,000 euros to carry out the project, and they ended up raise just over 160,000 euros. Faced with the anticipation generated, Team 17, publisher known for games like Worms among others, increased the contribution so that it could come true without setbacks.
It is one of the most promising Spanish games of the coming monthsThis eighties-style adventure, by the way, is being developed by the Spanish Studio Koba, and they themselves indicate that it is a game focused on action. Narita Boy will take us through side-scrolling worlds in environments recreated in digital style, in which we will have to face corrupt enemies to save the world. It is a very striking game visually and with its handmade animations. To move forward, we will take control of the Techno-Sword, a very versatile weapon that will have several attacks, both melee and ranged with the most characteristic magic and spells.
In addition, those responsible promise exploration in the purest metroidvania style, as well as confrontations with the most diverse final bosses and a soundtrack full of synthesized sounds, which will take us to the future despite its style of bygone eras. There will be many references in this promising game. Will it be among the best in metroidvania style?
