The Polish study has issued a statement justifying the problems arising from the hackers attack.
A few weeks ago we echoed the cyber attack orchestrated by hackers on CD Projekt RED, the studio responsible for Cyberpunk 2077, with which they have come out to auction the source code of several games of the Polish company. An unpleasant fact that has compromised “some of the company’s internal systems.” And it also seems that this situation has put the company’s staff in check, determining in a patch 1.2 release delay of this adventure that, curiously, is inspired by a world of hackers.
As you know, CDP programmed a roadmap containing the next patches, DLC and other improvements for the adventure, after a Controversial release due to numerous game bugs. The 1.2 update had to arrive imminently, but they have just confirmed that it will arrive a few weeks later, since the cyberattack has caused them not to have it in time. Even so, they assure that it will be available throughout the second half of March.
CD Projekt RED has had convulsive weeks due to a ransomware attack“We wanted to deliver patch 1.2 for Cyberpunk 2077 in the time frame we detailed above, but the recent cyber attack on the studio infrastructure and the wide scope of the update will sadly not happen. We will need some additional time. Our goal for patch 1.2 goes beyond any of our previous updates. We’ve been working on numerous general quality fixes and improvements, and we still have work to do to make sure that’s what you get. With that in mind, now we set its launch in the second half of March. It’s not the news we like to share, but we want to make sure we get this update released correctly. Thank you for your continued patience and support “, reads the statement issued by CD Projekt.
A new setback in the cyberpunk 2077 plansTherefore, the study must be applied thoroughly so that the rest of the plans drawn up are not delayed as well. The game had many problems in its first weeks and they are corrected periodically.
