The imaginative game refuses to die: it will expand its audience on Nintendo Switch and Xbox consoles.
Seeing Gordon Freeman running around the platforms of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout this past summer was quite a sight, but at the time we had no idea that we were also going to have outfits inspired by games as disparate as Gato Roboto or DOOM Eternal, or even popular content creators. Following his endless streak of collaborations, Mediatonic announces on Twitter a crossover with Cuphead that is coming soon.
To be specific, on February 24th we will be able to get hold of the Cuphead outfit (red) followed by the Mugman outfit (blue) on the 27th. Each of them costs ten crowns, distributed at the rate of five for the upper part and another five for the lower part, but if you have five more crowns you can also make a thematic gesture. The one that accompanies the promotional image, we assume.
It is undeniable that Fall Guys has lost a good part of the huge audience it managed to amass at launch, when it practically defined the content of video games on YouTube, Twitch and networks; but that does not at all mean that he is dead. It is currently in full season 3, and will soon be coming to the Nintendo Switch as well as the Xbox ecosystem.
For its part, Cuphead (the video game, not the character) is content with having been one of the most representative independent games of 2017. It has a DLC called The Delicious Last Course on the way, but after countless delays, now it is simply expected by some point in 2021. If you haven’t played the original, you’re taking a long time: it’s an artistic delight and also playable.
