If Dwayne Johnson is absent from Fast and Furious 9, these three reasons could justify his return in the last two films of the Fast saga.
While fans have ever been patient with the postponements of Fast and Furious 9, its distribution is likely to be further postponed! Due to a health situation that does not necessarily evolve in favor of the reopening of cinemas, Universal Studios would be considering a new shift in the release date. The spectators prefer to prepare for this eventuality, they who are all the same in a hurry to know the conclusion of this long teased film. As we know, this ninth installment will put more emphasis on the importance of the family, while the return of several emblematic characters from Tokyo Drift, namely Sean Boswell, Twinkie and of course Han is announced. One of the star members of the saga is missing, however, Dwayne Johnson alias Luke Hobbs, but rest assured: if we believe these clues, the agent of the American diplomatic security service should return for the last two films!
The feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson is over
Which allows us to think that The Rock will be part of the cast of the tenth and eleventh part of Fast and Furious (the last one, released in two parts) is that the feud between him and Vin Diesel seems to be over. If it has ever been known why the two star actors of the franchise were angry, that certainly justifies the absence of Dwayne Johnson in Fast 9, although the latter is also very busy on the set of other projects (Young Rock, Black Adam, Red Notice). Whatever the reasons for their tensions, the two actors seem to be reconciled, Vin Diesel and The Rock having congratulated and complimented each other on social media in 2019. Good thing for the rest of the Fast Saga story, which let’s face it, can’t end without Luke Hobbs alongside Dom Toretto!
Return of old characters in Fast 10 and Fast 11 allows spin-off films to be set up
For this tenth episode of Fast and Furious (separated into two parts likeAvengers: Infinity War and Endgame), you have to hit hard. If we are told about space and time travel, we imagine that bringing back former characters from the saga is still easier to manage! We can imagine that Gisele (Gal Gadot) will be back, and why not Agent Locke (Ryan Reynolds), seen in the spin-off Hobbs & Shaw. Obviously, the candidate most likely to come back to give Baboulinet an answer is The Rock. And after this Vin Diesel Instagram post, we can only believe in the return of Dwayne Johnson in Fast and Furious 10 and 11. A much awaited comeback by fans, as The Rock seems more and more invested in the franchise. Depending on how the events of the plot unfold, this may leave the door open for another future spinoff film of his character …
Dom and Hobbs team up in the face of a formidable threat
Of course, the plot around Luke Hobbs’ comeback in the franchise has to be believable and impactful. One can imagine that he and Dom Toretto will team up once again to face common enemies. Dom can also enlist his help if the threat he faces is far too difficult to stop with only his team members. But still, Luke Hobbs could also be the number 1 enemy of Dom Toretto and his brother Jakob Toretto (John Cena) in Fast and Furious 10. This is news for no one: with this franchise, anything is possible, so you have to be prepared for all eventualities!
