After the interview with Akira Yamaoka, composer of Silent Hill, and his controversial withdrawal , new rumors arise about a new installment of the series. This game would be in development outside of Konami and, as has been commented for months, Sony would be involved in some way in the subject.
Dusk Golem, a well-known insider of the Japanese industry who on more than one occasion has advanced things from the Resid3nt Evil saga, affirms through his Twitter account that, indeed, there is a new Silent Hill game underway, and it would lead already two years of development . What he does not know yet, says the insider, is who is in charge of its development, beyond which Sony would have its marketing rights .
When asked when it will go on sale, Dusk Golem claims to have a launch window in mind , but has not wanted to share it yet. He ends up simply wishing it was a good game for fans of the Silent Hill series to enjoy.
In any case, all rumors indicate in the same direction, that there is a Silent Hill in development. Now the only thing left is to wait for Konami to decide to announce it. Maybe at the Summer Game Fest this summer?
