Final Fantasy VII is one of the greatest games in all of history, for this reason, several years ago Square Enix decided to undertake a project in which to present the 1997 title with a modern twist and with several changes, such as the release in parts. This decision proved to have sustenance in gameplay and offered a look at Midgar and its characters that left a good taste. The story in the remake for now is unfinished and apparently it will take a long time to know the second part, but Square Enix assured that it will leave behind the expectations of fans.
Almost 1 year has passed since the premiere of the first part of Final Fantasy Remake. We know little about the second part, but the Japanese developer is already working on it, according to some clues. Yohinori Kitase and Naoki Hamaguchi, the game’s producer and co-director, respectively, were present for an interview at CEDEC + Kyushu Online 2020 (with translation by twitter user aitaikimochi ) and shared more details about the next part of Final Fantasy VII Remake.
In the talk, Hamaguchi mentioned that Square Enix wants to take the level of detail they used in Midgard and apply it to the rest of the world, something that will be possible in the second part.
SQUARE ENIX WANTS TO LEAVE FAN EXPECTATIONS BEHIND
The creative pointed out that there was an interesting change internally in the staff, as he mentions that many of the developers who wanted to work on the first part of Final Fantasy Remake were fans of the first game, but those who now want to develop the second part are many who played the remake, and they are especially interested in the implementation in the style of action battles, one of the main changes that the remake introduced.
Something interesting that Kitase expressed is that, like the first part, fans already know the story of the original game. In this sense, they already know what will happen in the remake, but he also mentioned that precisely this gives them the opportunity to recreate the story with fidelity, but at the same time “show them something that not only surprises”, but also “get rid of them [expectations ] “.
FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE NEWS COULD BE ON THE WAY
Since we are talking about Final Fantasy , we take the opportunity to tell you that a concert inspired by Final Fantasy VII Remake will be held on February 13 and the official Japanese page of Square Enix (via Wccftech ) confirmed that producer Yoshinori Kitase will share a message with the assistants.
Of course, this does not mean that the creative will surely reveal information related to Final Fantasy VII Remake, but there are clues that indicate that we could soon know about the game. We say this because leaks recently came to light from well-known insiders indicating that an enhanced version of Final Fantasy VII Remake for PlayStation 5, apart from a PC edition, could be announced very soon. Also, we remind you that a few years ago Square Enix revealed the release date during a concert, so it does not seem unreasonable for Kitase to share some news from the remakes.
And you, are you looking forward to the second part of Final Fantasy VII Remake ? When do you think it will be available? Tell us in the comments.
