As someone who goes to pig farms and hauls the processed product, I can without a doubt say that Tyson has some of the most disgusting and poorly maintained suppliers. I’m talking blood on the ground, dirty looking facilities, shady employees who will do anything to skirt a USDA inspection. Smithfield on the other hand are typically what you’d expect. Their properties are plastered from end to end in “NO CAMERA USAGE OR PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED”, but so far, they’re pretty clean, at least on the outside. It’s still a terrible feeling being at one of these places but for fucks sake Tyson, clean up your act.

The CEO and president of Smithfield Foods is Kenneth Sullivan, who plans on retiring early 2021. Granted this did involve looking at the two first hits on Google, not just the first hit so makes sense why they messed up.
