When san andreas was coming out, i was excited because i hated how annoying the instant death in water was.
But then when i played a GTA where you could swim, every time i accidentally went into the water was when i would launch my car off of something i shouldn’t have, and i would get stuck 800 yards away from land. I realized i much preferred it if my character died instead of being able to swim.

Tommy can swim, you just need to type in the health cheat code every 5 seconds. I used to do this as a kid to see how far I can make Tommy swim before I mess up typing in a cheat code from mashing my thumbs too quickly. If I made him die then I’ve failed.
San Andreas was such an upgrade from 3 and Vice City it’s insane. You could actually swim, climb, fly easily, I spent so many hours bullshitting around with my cousins 😂
