The Boys is definitely full of surprises …

While we told you more recently about the surprising fate of Stormfront teased by the showrunner of season 3 of The Boys, we now come back to an episode that has already been broadcast on Amazon Prime Video. Fans watching The Boys and who also saw breaking Bad know that the 2 series have one element in common thanks to the actor Giancarlo Esposito. The latter plays Gus Fring in breaking Bad, but he’s Stan Edgar in The Boys, CEO of Vought. And that’s not the only thing the 2 series have in common as an easter egg has crept into the Prime Video series, and the most hardcore fans of breaking Bad may have spotted it.

From his very first appearance in the final episode of the first season of The Boys, Stan Edgar makes the reference in question. During his conversation with Madelyn Stillwell whom he chose to succeed her as Vought’s head, Edgar talks about his retirement and how he’ll need someone to rule the ship when he’s in Belize. In breaking Bad, “send someone to Belize” has a very special meaning: to get rid of it. Even if in The Boys it is Madelyn Stillwell who ends up being killed, the reference is there and who knows, Stan Edgar will perhaps end up in “Belize” in season 3 of The Boys …
