Vikings season 6 is almost over and that’s why there won’t be season 7.
While we were returning recently to the strange creature seen in the trailer for season 6 of Vikings and the terrible explanation it could have, we now look at the future of the series – or rather its absence. We have known for a while that the last 10 episodes of season 6 will be the last episodes of the series which is about to bow out. But with a history as complex as that of the Viking people, why stop so soon? Series creator Michael Hirst took to an interview to take stock of his accomplishments with the Lothbrok story, and to explain why it won’t go further.
“Right off the bat I already knew more or less where I was going and how Vikings was going to end. And it was really satisfying to see it all come true, as I had planned, in the last season. felt like I had said everything I had to say about the Vikings “. Fascinated by these people, Michael Hirst devoted 7 years of his life to it, to write until after midnight and to make weekly trips to Ireland, on the set on the series. “And then the moment to conclude the saga has arrived”. Even if we don’t yet know how the series will end, we at least have the certainty that Michael Hirst has done everything possible for characters he adores as much as the fans. Waiting for the end on Amazon Prime Video, the unpublished photos of the last episodes of season 6 of Vikings have already been unveiled.
