This long-running third Sex and the City movie may finally come to fruition – as a series (and without a key actress).
Did you dream of it? Sex and The City is THE event series that has marked an entire generation, to the point where Carrie Bradshaw has returned to be a fashion icon. It is the fashion reference par excellence. The series was a real success, propelling Sarah Jessica Parker to the rank of global star. It must also be recognized that Sex and The City does not go out of fashion. Both films have been equally well received and the fans want only one thing, to find this group of friends for new adventures … It seems that their dreams have come true as a revival with Sarah Jessica Parker seems to be in the works!
HBO Max is reportedly set to close a deal to relaunch the franchise of this iconic comedy as a limited series, with Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon set to reprise their respective signature roles as Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda. Meanwhile, Kim Cattrall – who has been very public about her desire to put the franchise, her co-stars, and her character of Samantha behind her – shouldn’t be involved in this near-seventh season of Sex and The City. These noises therefore seem to materialize according to the New York Post. For the moment, neither HBO nor the main stakeholders have confirmed this enticing rumor but it seems to be on the right track.
