  1. Linus has been so excited about this crossover. He was on the wan show talking about how they came up with the idea, and then said “You know who I would love to do this with if not for the stupid virus, Electroboom” And one of writers said “You know he stays locally right?”

Gonna go watch it now 😀

  2. I’m still going to use a static bracelet whenever I open up a pc. It’s cheap, and the lat time I didn’t my laptop gpu was artficaing for a while

  3. Years ago I was tripping on acid and binged watched electrobooms videos and commented on one about how he’s very entertaining in that state of mind and he responded to my comment positively. Made my night.

  4. i’m glad i was totally justified grounding myself all those years building my computers. people probably thought that was overkill.

  5. The thing with ESD though, is that even if it doesn’t cause an immediate failure, there’s still the possibility of doing minor damage to components that could cause future failures after the fact.

So you could shock the components and test them right after and see that they work under normal running conditions. However the components has been stressed and could fail over prolonged use or in the event of a slightly higher voltage or load being applied to it.

When/if the component eventually fails, it could be so long after the initial shock that it could just be attributed to a faulty part or other unrelated cause.
